孤独与寂寞

孤独与寂寞
which is the sadder to be.
well, for those who arent chinese inclined..
this is really hard to explain really…
if u were check under an chinese-english dictionary,
u’d find that both gave u
the same meanings.
I suppose the closest translation would be that
孤独 refers to being companionless
寂寞 would refer to a kind of alienation
so. which do you think is worst off?
personally,
寂寞, feeling alone among company is just so much more painful
than 孤独, as ignorance is a bliss,
cuz if you’re 孤独,
its just you.

to feel alienated from.
besides self alienation…

i just want to say
perhaps the root of our zeitgeist stems from this alienation?
the world we live in is devolvin into a much more depressed place,
advances in technology may have made life ever more efficient,
allowing much more efficiency our predecessors ever had which should
leave us with more time to make tt little call to a friend or loved one. But nooooo…
it just leaves more time to be more efficient!
People have become so caught up in the flood of efficiency of modern life that
(to use a little cliche…)
no one stops to smell the roses anymore. So.
IS MORE BETTER?
Everyone’s just too busy to reach out to anyone.
as time passes it just becomes harder and harder to reach out
and you find that to escape the pain from this lacuna.
you do the only thing u know how to do,
work harder, faster, better
in the hopes of filling this illimitable chasm.
but nothing can replace human interaction and social communication.

on a light note, u never know… if the world keeps up its pace of aplombed efficient alienation,we’d have no need to send space probes out into space anymore as we’d become one big happy
